What's the difference between Timeless and Glamour 2?
Our premier, archival varnish, Timeless, comes pre-diluted and is designed to dry quickly after spraying or rolling. Glamour 2 should be diluted with distilled water before use and utilizes an extended 24 hour cure period to ensure even and self-leveled prints.
How long can Glamour 2 be stored after dilution?
We do not recommend storing Glamour 2 after it has been diluted. Best practice is to dilute only what is needed to coat.
What are the advantages of pre-notched stretcher bars?
Our pre-notched bars assemble quickly and easily without the need of cumbersome joining equipment increasing the speed and simplicity of frame production.
How big should my canvas be to use stretch relief?
For simple wraps using StretchRelief on any bar, ensure you have an extra three quarters of an inch of canvas available on all sides. Just use this simple formula to calculate your canvas size:
Height of finished frame + ((thickness of bar + depth of bar + 3/4") x 2) = total height of canvas
Width of finished frame + ((thickness of bar + depth of bar + 3/4") x 2) = total width of canvas
So for an 18"x24" gallery wrap with 3/4" standard bars:
18 + ((1.5 + 3/4 + 3/4)x2) = 24
24 + ((1.5 + 3/4 + 3/4)x2) = 30
Thus your canvas size would be 24"x30"
