Jonathan (john) Baker,

Anyone tried bonding the front of gloss prints to glass or clear acrylic, etc?

I hate the look of gloss prints behind glass, but sometimes you want the gloss look and need it protected.  I guess a term for this kind of mount is Diasec.  SEAL makes a product called optimount that looks to be just for this, but requires a laminator.  Anyone tried any more diy methods with liquid adhesives (or varnish?)

Hi,  I doo this for leaving. Is not easy job ,but if you learn how to mount images to acrylic, you  love the results ,Take you some time to learn and invest money to machine like Drytac for example .You have to print on glossy paper is a mast, and you wheel need  optical clear double sided adhesive film and supper clean room,+ a loath of different materials ,is expensive if you do this in company's.

Hi Jonathan,

I've heard of quite a few people doing this type of face mounting to acrylic or glass. I don't know that there is any DIY method that would allow you to do it without a laminator.

I've also heard of Seal's Opti Mount Ultra. From what I understand, it's very difficult to get this process down perfectly, where dust plays a huge part, requiring a "clean room" type of environment.
