Canon Pixma Pro 100
The Bottom Line
The Pro-100 may be Canon’s least expensive prosumer wide-format photo printer, but you certainly can’t tell that from the excellent quality of the prints it produces. If you’re looking for an affordable entry-level pro-level photo printer, the Pro-100 fits the bill.

Our Favorite Online User Reviews for the Canon Pixma 100
The Pro-100 produces impressive and brilliant photos, and its Wi-fi ability is an appreciated plus. I do, however, have concerns regarding the longevity of the dye based inks.
The Pro 100 is a dye based printer. The prints from this, on Canon paper with proper paper profiles chosen, results in some vibrant and amazing results. Doing a blind comparison with family members, everyone prefers the Pro 100 results to my MP990. This isn't unexpected, given this printer uses many more inks to provide the results.
After setting up (and I admit that it took me awhile to realize I was loading paper from the back feeder rather than the main one), I printed a photo on the Pro Luster paper they sent with the printer. The photo was not particularly sharp or well framed but it had sentimental value. The printed copy, however, was spectacular - much better than it appeared on my 27" imac.
