Canon iPF6400, 6450, 8400, & 9400
Canon's 400 Series of printers offer near-identical operation, but accommodate various widths:
Canon iPF6400 - 24"
Canon iPF6450 - 24" with 250GB internal hard disk
Canon iPF8400 - 44"
Canon iPF9400 - 60"
The Bottom Line
I’ve been extremely pleased with this printer overall, and I can easily HIGHLY recommend this printer to anyone looking to go large. While large format printers can print sheets, they don’t do it as easily as small printers (i.e., no roll bypass) so I still prefer to use the PRO-1 for my sheet work.

The printer is very new to me; only printed on Canon Glossy Photo Paper so far. The prints are accurate with great detail in deep shadows as well as highlights. Very easy to unpack/set-up although two or three people make the job easier than doing it myself.
I moved up from an iPF5000, which was a very good printer. Everything on the iPF6400 is improved by a two or three notches. The ink in particular has improved gamut and much less gloss differential.
The printer itself does exceptional prints. There's no denying that. Truly beautiful. When you can get it working. Mine came with a defective print head, a problem which took weeks and repeated service technician visits to diagnose and then fix. Now the problem is paper handling. Changing paper types often takes half an hour going around and around in circles.
