Epson 7880 Ultrachrome Ink
A key addition to Epson’s Stylus Pro printers is their Ultrachrome K3 ink with vivid magenta. This new eight-pigment ink was created by Epson’s scientists and uses a high-density magenta pigment that provides a wide color gamut that is particularly notable in blues and purples. Gloss differential is reduced in this ink using Epson Microcrystal Encapulation technology, and customers can rely on superior scratch resistance from improved resin and pigment chemistry.
Printing with Ultrachrome K3 ink will instantly improve stability after printing and guarantees that there will be no short-term color shifting. Perhaps the most notable quality of this high-performance ink is the superior color and clarity that customers will notice upon using it. This ink produces a nearly three-dimensional look that is far superior to what is found in traditional silver halide photography.
The
final feature customers will find with the Epson Ultrachrome K3 ink is
the improved density of blacks (up to 2.55 Dmax.) This ink is able to
simultaneously combine black, light black and light, light black inks
for an incredibly dense result. This improves the printer’s grey
balance and virtually eliminates color casts. Users will find a
smoother tonal range that features impressive midtones and highlights.
Another notable feature of this ink is that metamerism and bronzing
will be all but eliminated from prints, thus creating a breath-taking
end result that is guaranteed to impress.
