Epson 9880 Advanced Color Management: ColorBurst RIP Software

With the Epson Stylus Pro 9880 comes some of the most advanced printing software in the industry. The Stylus Pro 9880 features ColorBurst RIP, which is a postscript language level three compatible software RIP server that includes both Mac OS X (panther and tiger) and WinXP versions.

This software includes pro color management technology that includes separate input ICC profiles for RGB, CMYK and grayscale images. Also featured is ink limiting technology with CMYK curve adjustments for total color control. Also, accurate color can be guaranteed across multiple printers using the software’s in printer linearization technology.

ColorBurst RIP’s easy to use RIP server interface allows pro job management to handle any workload your network can produce. This includes printing directly from any software application. This software is also Pantone licensed to include both coated and uncoated libraries. One final note is that ColorBurst is SWOP certified for the new Epson proofing media line when using the supplied SWOP printing environment.
