Epson 7880 Advanced Black & White Printing Technology

Many black and white photographers that are used to conventional darkroom photograph development may be wary of reproducing their digital photos onto canvas. There’s nothing to worry about. The Epson 7880 and other Stylus Pro series of printers include unique screening technology designed specifically for advanced black and white printing.

This Epson 7880 technology produces remarkably consistent images with virtually no color crossover. Color crossover has been a concern of some photographers who want to avoid blurring and wish to achieve the highest level of quality in their prints. With Epson advanced black and white printing technology, this concern is eliminated. Color cast, where a predominance of a particular shade or color takes over a reproduction, is also eliminated with Epson advanced black and white technology.

The Epson Stylus Pro 7880 series will always produce high-quality sellable neutral or toned black and white prints from a single ink set. Epson developed its advanced screening and color management technology to produce darkroom-quality black and white prints from either color or grayscale image files. This driver utilizes Epson’s unique technology to take full advantage of the three-level black technology to produce truly professional black and white prints from any type of image file.
